Olga graduated with an MFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts in 1995 and Anna graduated in 1996 with an MFA from Mills College in California.

Hallin & Bergmann share a mutual interest in evolution, biology, genetics, ecosystems and social
behavior and have since 2003 collaborated on several projects, mainly video works. They have also
participated in various architectural projects and competitions in collaboration with the architects
of Arkibúllan in Iceland.
Olga and Anna work in a variety of media - site-specific projects, sculpture, film, animation,
photography, drawing, installation and sound-scapes. In their collaborative work they have
for instance placed fictional nature films and displays of natural history “objects” among
authentic scientific exhibits at The Icelandic Seal Centre and The Natural History Museum in
Iceland. In 2010 they excavated a previously unknown civilization on the grounds of the Folk and Outsider Museum in Iceland.

One of their most recent collaboration is “ DRIFT” - a video/film project that deals with national identity in
relation to geology and continental drifting.
DRIFT was first exhibited as an installation at The National Gallery in Reykjavík in November 2012

In June 2013 Hallin & Bergmann received first price for their proposal for public art work in a new security-prison in Reykjavik.
